Position: Business Development ManagerSalary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Company CarAbout the Role:The purpose of this role is to achieve revenue and profit targets through the sale ofThe companies complex product range, in both new business and existing customero Develop a broad range of excellent customer and prospect relationshipso Execute a territory sales plan that ensures achievement of objectives and targetso Produce comprehensive customer account and sales opportunity planso Confidently articulate and present the companies products, services and value propositiono Develop a comprehensive understanding of the companies processes and systemso Build a robust sales pipeline and forecast that will yield future profitable revenue streamso Capitalise on new opportunities by creating compelling customer solutions and proposalso Work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues from sale to implementationo Develop a detailed knowledge of competitive products and serviceso Build and maintain a network of relevant contacts, including architects and contractorso Proactively provide industry and market intelligence to the wider Woodscape communityo Deliver all required reports, forecasts and CRM updates in a timely mannero Be prepared to travel extensively within the UK.The Person:Experienceo A successful track record in high value technically complex B2B sales in the constructionindustry or a similar relevant market environmento Experience in the development and execution of territory sales planso Demonstrable success in leading high value technical proposals, bids and tenderso An understanding of the utilisation of sales pipeline management & CRM systems.Skillso The financial and commercial acumen to construct high value complex proposalso The intellectual capability required to understand and articulate how products and services match customer applicationso The personal ability to collaborate, lead and influence a diverse range of people,including customers, partners and colleagueso The drive and resilience required to win in a competitive sales environmento The emotional intelligence required to be authentic, display good judgement and robustdecision makingo The personal gravitas required to establish credibility and negotiate at multiple levelso The self-awareness to identify own development needso The desire to continually improve your capability to perform your role successfullyo The ability to communicate concisely and confidently.Qualificationso Education: Degree level or equivalent preferred, (but not essential)o IT literate: MS office essentialo Driving Licence essential
