New RoleAccountant - Practice - £35-42kBlackburnapply now!Reed Accountancy is proud to be partnering with a very successful business advisory & accountancy firm that are looking for an additional Qualified Accountant to join their accounts team on a permanent basis.My client is a leading independent firm of business advisers supporting owner managed businesses. Based in Blackburn, the firms core client base of owner managed businesses resides in East Lancashire but extends throughout the UK and Internationally.Having shunned the industry trend towards consolidation, the business remains owner managed, and therefore best placed to both understand, advise and support owner managers on a myriad of business issues, in the fields of compliance, business specific andtax consultancy, corporate finance and its highly successful forensic practice.Your duties will include:

  • Review of financial statements & tax computations
  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements for non-audit assignments.
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations.
  • Preparation of sole trader tax computations.
  • Preparation, with assistance, of VAT returns.
  • Planning, managing and completing audit files
  • Assisting in completing audit assignments
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects
In return for your work, you will be rewarded with:
  • Salary £35-42k dependent on experience

You will be expected to have recent experience of bookkeeping, good communication skills and be proficient with using accounting systems such as Cloud, Sage 50, Xero or Quickbooks.
