Job Description

Year 6 Teacher Required in HandsworthEmpowering Learning are delighted to be representing a primary school in the Handsworth area who are looking for an experienced Year 6 teacher on a long-term basis to cover a sickness. This is a full-time position which will start ASAP and continue intothe New Year.The school is two form entry and the Head Teacher is looking for a teacher with experience in teaching KS2 with confidence and who has excellent behaviour management skills. The desired teacher will be resilient but approachable with an engaging teachingstyle as some of the class can often display challenging behaviour.The school is rated Good by Ofsted in its last inspection. The Teachers and Teaching Assistants are a close-knit team so the preferred Teacher should have a friendly and team player attitude. This position is not suitable for NQTs.Requirements:

  • You must hold QTS
  • 2 + years of teaching experience
  • Be passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential and be enthusiastic in your approach
  • Confident, resilient teacher who has experience with SATs
  • Driving is not essential but is desirable.
