Works Chemist£25,000 - £30,000BirminghamDue to continued growth our client is looking for an experienced Works Chemist to join their established team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a leading electroplating company based in the heart of Birmingham.Reporting to the Technical Manger your responsibilities will include:" Daily analysis of plating solutions using titration methods." Solution analysis using XRF" Monitoring and dosing of steam raiser water supply." Monitoring and dosing of effluent plant." Operating a filter press." Ensure the timely completion of testing in process and final analysis" Work alongside other divisions efficientlyExperience and skills required of the Works Chemist:" Experience in effluent treatment / consent levels" Conversant with the use of XRF" Wet chemistry techniques - titration" BTEC / HNC qualified in Chemistry" Experience working in a busy industrial lab" Ability to follow Chemistry testing techniques" Experience working in a Chemical / Process industry desirable" Familiarity with Quality Management systems (ISO9001, 14001 & 45001) advantageous" IOSH qualified would be advantageousWhat the successful Works Chemist will get in return:" Company pension" 30 days holiday including bank holidays" Plenty of progression and training" Monday - Thursday 07:30am - 17:00pmFriday - 07:30am -16:00pmIf you feel that you have suitable experience for the Works Chemist position, please click apply or contact Ellie Hardiman at Pertemps Birmingham Industrial, Hagley Court.
