Job Description

Closing Date: 16/01/2022Do you have a background in HR, recruitment and workforce with excellent communication skills Do you enjoy working in and leading large and diverse teams and workforces Do you want to be part of the biggest event ever to be held in the West Midlands Ifso, this could be the role for you!Birmingham 2022 is looking for four Workforce Supervisors to join the Transport Department within the Fleet Functional Area. As a Fleet team member, you be working with one of the largest teams at the Games, in a friendly, inclusive and dynamic environment.The primary responsibility of the Workforce Supervisor is to help support the Workforce team with recruitment, rostering, training and onboarding of the Fleet paid and volunteer workforce. This role will also be responsible for assisting in the planning anddelivery of the Games time Fleet workforce operations.Responsibilities

  • Support the Workforce Coordinator to ensure that all workforce tasks are being completed.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of Fleet volunteers and paid staff.
  • Assist in managing the schedule and roster development and change management process.
  • Manage Fleet workforce shortfalls, ensuring post prioritisation is activated and shortfalls are addressed during the games.
  • Oversee the direct contact with volunteers once they have been appointed to the team, including scheduling of rosters, changes and communications with volunteers.
  • Work with the Senior Transport Managers and Workforce team to develop paid and volunteer workforce training plans, scheduling and training delivery.
  • Support the Fleet Systems and Services teams prior to and during Games Time.

  • Excellent Communications skills.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of recruitment of paid staff and/or volunteers.
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations, particularly related to managing volunteers.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, with an emphasis on Word and Excel.
