Job Description

Do you enjoy working with people & Fancy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the sameIf so, we have an exciting new position available as a Workforce Planner where you will be responsible for supporting the NEC Group contract by planning and scheduling the workforce for the soft services OCS provides. This includes security, stewarding, cleaning,waste,estates, and front of house professionals.The Workforce Planners are a newly formed team within the OCS Venues and Events Division. With around 1500 casual and zero staff members assigned to the contract, our teams will help support the NEC Group during event build-ups, live show days, and much moreensuring a smooth operation of all services.The NEC Group Contract has five renowned entertainment venues, the NEC, The Vox, Resorts World Arena, Utilita Arena Birmingham & The ICC.   • Upload rotas and event schedules to Timegate in time to ensure all events are scheduled effectively with the correct people in the correct roles.
  • To communicate and engage with staff booked for work.
  • To work as Timegate Champions in the business to support staff, supervisors, and managers to get the best out of the system and encourage development of it.
  • Create and maintain relationships with Operations colleagues to ensure handover of information and event logistics are communicated.
  • Inputting and analysing trends in people performance - working with Senior Workforce planner and HR for any formal processes.
  • Ensure all OCS processes are adhered to including, clock compliance, arbitrations, and payroll readiness.
  • Manage the NEC Group Staff ID system, creating new passes and issuing out.
  • Maintain colleague databases with correct contact details, qualifications, training, and licensing information.
  • Work closely with Contract Support Team in matters relating to recruitment, licensing, vetting & training.
  • Support with any other administrative functions in relation to people and scheduling.
To be successful in the role, you will need:
  • Strong communication & problem solving skills
  • To be proactive with an attention for detail
  • A real team player who is comfortable and adaptable to change
  • Experience in administration - preferably people/HR related
  • Experience of Scheduling & Workforce Planning is desirable
  • Experience in the use of Time and Attendance systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge or experience in facilities management and/or events is desirable
