We’re looking for a WordPress Tech Lead to join our fast-growing web agency. This role will be ideally suited to someone that has come through the ranks of WordPress development and is now looking to take a step away from the daily website site build process and focus on working with a team of highly skilled WordPress developers and helping us deliver high quality WordPress websites to our clients.Role Info:WordPress & WooCommerce Technical Lead / WordPress Development LeadReading HQ for internal meetings, workshops, etc / Remote£50,000 - £55,000Plus Benefits - Remote Flex, & Flex HoursThe Role:Our successful candidate will be self-motivated and highly organised, rallying the troops for a successful project outcome. The roleholder will be highly effective in their communications, with attention to detail. They’re not afraid of tackling the hard issues, and love it when a plan comes together! They’ll deliver results that exceed expectations.Responsibilities:+ Lead a growing WordPress team, managing the developers, tasks, schedules, and deliverables.+ Find technical solutions to solve WordPress & WooCommerce problems+ Liaise with customers to ensure their WordPress websites are performing as best as they can be+ Manage and delegate WordPress support tickets+ Combine technical expertise with leadership and communication skills.+ Communicate effectively with senior management, developers and partners.+ Share best practices and improve processes across tech teams, mentoring junior developers.+ Manage the development, release, and maintenance of WordPress/WooCommerce projects+ Track and report the status of projects to Senior Management.+ Drive innovation for the core business operations by recommending viable technologies.+ Anticipate issues, identify future choke points, and work ahead of time to alleviate potential issues.Skills Required:+ A solid understanding of project management including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans, perform resource allocations, and run team meetings.+ Manage Agile development processes for multiple projects, using various tools such Jira, Asana, Slack to name a few.
