Job Description

Warehouse & Logistics Operations ManagerBirminghamUp to £50,000The CompanyA family run medium size business that has been running for over 30 years who manufacture for the foodservice sector. With their own fleet of vehicles and a growing business, they are looking to bring in a Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager.What will you do

  • Responsibility for the warehouse that is separated into 4 sections: Goods in, packing, goods out & raw material
  • Control of the inventory management
  • Ensure productivity targets are hit, running 200 product SKU’s
  • Run day to day logistics which consists of 4 lorries, 2 vans and a pool car
  • First point of contact for engineers and ensure that all equipment breakdown
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement on quality and service
  • Responsible for ensuring all transport operating licence needs are correctly administered
  • Organise external service contractors for maintenance of machines on site
What do you need
  • Experience with inventory management
  • Proven management experience within Warehouse and Logistics
  • An understanding of transport regulations and legislations
  • Previously worked in a SME
  • Ideally experience in the food industry
  • Experience of VOSA / DVSA is desirable
What’s on offer
  • Up to £50,000 annual salary
  • Monday - Friday
  • 7.30am - 4.30pm, must be flexible
