Job Description

Role - Vendor and Alliances Solution Partner ManagerLocation - South or Midlands or NorthSalary Package - Up to £60k + OTE + Car AllowanceSCC is Europes largest privately-owned IT business, based out of the new £7m HQ office in Birmingham and we help clients succeed through IT transformation and exceptional customer experiences. We are a global company that is passionate about IT and where we look to simplify the complex.This role will see you be a Subject Matter Expert across a diverse software vendor portfolio whereby youll collaborate with our vendor partners and Business Development Executive(s) to design a go to market strategy.Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the certification and accreditation status with nominated vendors
  • Have management and operational responsibility for nominated vendors.
  • Build and manage a vendor plan involving all key stake holders including [Vendor Senior Management, operational personnel, SCC Sales and SCCUK Services.
  • Maximise the margin and rebate returns from nominated vendors into SCC both through engagement on specific deals, and development of programme plans
  • Be responsible for managing pipeline and forecast by Vendor to ensure internal and external targets are met, including key stakeholder across SCC and BU sales and management functions
  • Understand nominated vendor strategies and direction of travel; advise SCC on the market opportunities, threats and the change required to meet them
  • Blend SCC and vendor(s) strategy into a cohesive go-to-market message for SCC, Customers and vendor(s) including any market specific factors that may be appropriate
  • Own the financial health of the vendor(s) relationship including rebate, margin and revenue metrics
  • Manage vendor(s)contractual and non-contractual performance and report KPIs to maintain the highest levels of accreditation where appropriate
  • Provide sales and bid support as needed across SCC Sales, including advice on deal registration, product selection, programme compliance, discount processes etc to drive the best possible commercial position for SCC
  • Work with distribution, SCC Services and vendor(s) to develop robust go-to-market service capabilities appropriate to SCCs strategy
Key Skills & Experiences:
  • Broad and deep knowledge of vendor(s) senior management, strategy, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ability to establish new, or leverage existing senior level networks within nominated vendors
  • Knowledge and experience of nominated vendor operational processes, metrics, systems and people
  • Understanding of and experience working within vendor(s) channel businesses
  • Proven ability to work within complex environments, with multiple stakeholders across different solution areas.
  • Proven experience in managing partner relationships. 5-10 years
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills to be applied in working with nominated vendors across the entire contract life cycle
  • Strong knowledge of nominated vendor markets, competition and major market trends
  • Establish a strong understanding of SCC internal decision making
  • Demonstrate understanding of, and application of, nominated vendor(s) decision making
  • Strong dispute resolution and mediation skills to handle issue escalation and to drive win-win outcomes for both parties
  • Strong proven negotiation experience
  • Process and relationship management experience with proven track record of delivering benefits through continuous improvement programmes
