Job Description

UK SALES REPRESENTATIVE Due to exciting growth plans, we are delighted to be representing an established, multinational industrial brand to find a UK Sales Representative to build relationships with existing customers and secure new customers from a Midlands base.The company provides a complete end to end engineering service for customised solutions, products and tools from fixing to repairs tests and advice. Operating in over 3 continents and more than 60 countries with a global workforce of over 400.Headquartered in Europe, the company specialises in the manufacture and distribution of rivets and insert nuts for use across a wide range of industries. The business has enjoyed significant growth over the last 40 years, with a continuous investment programmethat has driven innovation that has seen them become market leaders. This success is based on efficient organisation and dynamic entrepreneurial management.Main responsibilities:

  • Establish sales strategies for major UK accounts and incorporate them in the Sales Plan of the relevant industry sector
  • Undertake regular visits to end-user customers to build and manage relationships and maximise the commercial opportunity.
  • Attract new clients within industrial sectors with relevant marketing activities.
  • Support the customer service department to obtain optimal results in sales.
  • Negotiate and work within company framework of commercial terms and conditions.
  • Undertake telephone and e-mail technical consultations.
  • Prepare commercial proposals and lead practical demonstrations within the company and on customer site.
  • Prepare reports for decision making, work with Finance to manage and control outstanding accounts, changes in commercial terms and conditions and delivery deadlines.
  • Play an active role in exhibitions and trade fairs as both an exhibitor and/or visitor.
The must-haves:
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing accounts within a fast-moving engineering commodity market.
  • Experience in negotiating with Central and Purchase Groups.
  • Sales / Marketing / Engineering Studies qualifications
  • Located in the Midlands
  • You will be on the road, so frequent travel and overnight stays away from home will be a normal part of the job
