Job Description

Working in Birmingham as a Transport Planner, the role will involve strategic route planning across the UK, whilst liaising with the other internal teams to ensure the smooth and efficient completion of customer deliveries. This opportunity benefits froman excellent salary of £35,000 per year, with an annual bonus, and a Monday-Friday working pattern on a day shift, with hybrid working two days a week (once trained).Client DetailsA global logistics business with over 500,000 employees worldwide, offering a selection of 3PL and distribution services across a variety of sectors to their clients.DescriptionThe role of Transport Planner in Birmingham will involve:

  • Complete any strategic route planning, ensuring the required resources are available.
  • Managing demand from the customer.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the team and customers.
  • Liaising with other internal departments such as the Billing team.
  • Escalating any issues to the management team.
ProfileThe successful Transport Planner candidate will have:
  • Good knowledge of transport/route planning.
  • The ability to work on own initiative.
  • A good commercial understanding.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • A strong teamwork ethic to work in a lively transport office.
  • Previous experience in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
