Metal Recycling Industry £26-30k PermB8Job description:To plan and manage all internal and external haulage for the incoming and outgoing material to and from the yard, to manage all drivers as efficiently and cost effectively as possible whilst maintaining a high level of service to our suppliers and customersand working in a safe and legal manner. Primary Responsibilities: - Record all movement of Roro and skips to maintain the whereabouts of all assets - Plan the daily workload of all internal and day rate drivers - Book any external haulage for the movement of material to and from the yard - Cover any sickness and illness of our own drivers and any other issues that may arise - Report daily the previous days movement of all drivers - Use Fred to generate all waste transfer notes - Download all driver digi cards on a monthly basis to ensure drivers are abiding by the DVSA rules and procedures on driving hours - Download all vehicle tacho data on a bi-monthly basis to ensure drivers are abiding by the DVSA rules and procedures on driving hours Qualifications, training and experience required Essential: - Strong IT Skills - Knowledge of the Fred system - Knowledge of driving laws and procedures - Good knowledge of the UK and local area Competencies: - Adapting and Coping: Adapts and responds well to change.
