Job Description

Location: Oxfordshire / Midlands basenational role with potential international remitContract Type: PermanentHours: Full TimeSalary: Competitive salary plus car / car allowanceBenefits: bonus, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme.About the Role:Unipart is in an exciting phase of growth and development and as Transformation Director you will lead the design and delivery of transformation activity across the core support functions across Unipart - Finance, HR and IT - in support of building a morescalable, efficient and cost effective operating model that is responsive and agile to support the overall business growth.   • Create a baseline of current state across the functional areas and to set a suite of KPIs that can be used to set targets and context for transformation
  • Develop a KPI dashboard, working with the functions to identify leading measures and drive the consistent usage and improvements across the business
  • Design and implement new operating models and structures that will drive efficiencies and agility to support growth
  • Define, lead and continually refresh Uniparts Operational Excellence strategy across the functions to ensure the methodology remains standardised, best practice and continues to drive competitive value
  • Work with and coach the functional leaders to identify and deliver breakthrough, transformational events which drive high value, improve quality and reduce cost
  • Work with key stakeholders across the functions and divisions to gain agreement, alignment and sponsorship to proposed improvements, resulting in increased best practice sharing and collaboration across all areas
  • Guide and coach the leadership teams to focus on key business priorities through analysis of key metrics, cost-benefits analysis and creation of associated business casesworking with the finance team to ensure all proposals are financially sound andattract the strongest returns
  • Support and coach a team of Operational Excellence lean experts to build Operational Excellent capability underpinned by the Unipart Way tools and techniques ensuring we have the best people in the industry recognised by our customers and competitors Inputto and support the wider Group change agenda including working closely with the Unipart Way PMO on reinvigorating the Unipart Way
Transformation Director Requirements:Our ideal candidate will have a strong lean Six Sigma leadership background with experience operating in similar functional transformation roles at this level working with senior leaders to deliver tangible results. Were looking for you to be proactive,able to balance detail with strategic intent, energetic, motivated, and tenacious.Wed love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think youd be able to perform well in this role!
  • Highly skilled professional with an extensive background in transforming support functions
  • Capability to create a vision and strategy for multiple teams, and lead and manage them to deliver outcomes aligned to the wider business objectives
  • Strong operational improvement background with a clear demonstrable track record of improving QCD metrics both tactically and strategically
  • Proven experience of deploying best practice processes across a function to deliver high levels of standardisation, reduced variation and the results associated
  • Ability to learn quickly and simplify complex challenges and information into meaningful actions
  • Proven background in leading significant implementation and transformational, step change programmes in a transactional and/or service environment
  • Proven and qualified background in Lean 6 sigma - minimum Six Sigma Green Belt qualified, with Six Sigma Black Belt desirable
  • Strong commercial acumen
