Job Description

Career Teachers are currently recruiting QTS / QTLS Textiles Teachers for January 2023.We are looking to appoint passionate and dedicated Teachers of Textiles who are ideally looking for long-term or permanent roles starting January 2023 to meet the high demand for our schools. We work with a wide variety of Secondary Schools in and aroundthe West Midlands area including; Birmingham / Dudley / Sandwell / Walsall / Wolverhampton / Staffordshire / Worcestershire / Shropshire areas.You will need to be resourceful and innovative in your teaching approach and be able to teach all aspects of Textiles at key stage 3 to 4 with a good track record of teaching and learning outcomes. The additional experience of teaching at KS5 would be advantageousbut not essential.To be successful for this role, you must:

  • Have recent experience teaching Textiles within a school setting on either a permanent or temporary basis
  • Hold qualified teacher status (QTS / QTLS)
  • Eligibility to work within the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one
  • Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer a FREE online Safeguarding training course
  • Able to provide a minimum of 2 x references to cover the last 2 years of employment history
  • Experience teaching Textiles at KS3 and 4. The additional experience of teaching at KS5 would be advantageous but not essential.
  • A positive mindset with a passion for teaching and learning
  • Able to establish constructive and positive relationships with your pupils
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management
  • Committed to raising attainment
