Services_EMEA-E690Tendering Engineer-Full Time-Birmingham,United KingdomSulzer are looking for a Tendering Engineer to lead, co-ordinate and compile quotes and tenders, providing sales tendering and commercial support for the Birmingham Service Centre to meet the objectives of the company’s overall business strategy.At Sulzer, you are in charge of your career and continued development. If youthink you have the skills to meet our needs, then we would love to talk to you!Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • To be the main point of contact for customers requesting quotations and tenders
  • Ensure quotations and tenders are prepared effectively and efficiently with a high degree of detail
  • Own the tracking and actioning of service centre opportunities within the company’s CRM system
  • Assess the customer’s request against the company’s ability to deliver
  • Ensuring tenders are within the commercial guidelines and are approved appropriately
  • Proactively engage in Sulzer’s continuous improvement initiatives to ensure health and safety for all, including the environment too.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • HNC/HND in engineering or business discipline or relevant experience within a related industry
  • Experience with costing/estimating
  • Experience of dealing with complex tenders and procurement led tendering processes
  • Technical knowledge of motors and rotating equipment would be advantageous
  • Methodical and solution oriented
  • Enthusiastic communicator with a strong customer focus
