Job Description

“The art of communication is the language of leadership.” James Humes.Sheridan Maine are delighted to be working with one of Birmingham’s leading third sector organisations, who are looking for a well-rounded Finance Manager to come on board, initially on a temporary basis. This company enable organisations and individualsworking to deliver social change in the community sector. They’re looking for a personable and passionate individual with a varied skillset who can come in and hit the ground running.4-5 month assignmentThe RoleA rounded and varied finance role (4-5 month assignment) that requires someone with strong organisational skills and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships. Duties of the Finance Manager include (but are not limited to):External Audit Preparation

  • Preparing Statutory accounts for audit
  • Reconciliations
  • Full review of project spend, including journals as needed
Support External clients
  • Preparation of accounts for small voluntary organisations
  • Independent Examinations
Support Internal projects
  • Providing monthly management accounts by project
  • Set up of management account processes
  • ongoing collaboration with project leads
The PersonThe successfulFinance Managerwill have the following:
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Management accounts experience
  • Strong IT skills (MS Dynamics experience is desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to travel into the office for first few weeks to learn role (hybrid arrangement after)
A great temporary assignment for a well-rounded individual.
