Join us at Kier Transportation, where we are working brilliantly together to make a difference, supporting the movement of people, goods,and equipment.Location: Birmingham - hybrid working availableContract: Permanent, Full timeSalary: Up to £39k + Company Car + BenefitsResponsibilitiesAs a Technology Design Engineer, you will be working within Kier Design Service team, contribute, complete and if necessary, manage a highways technology design package across various portfolios.Your day to day will include:

  • Contribute, complete and if necessary manage a full technology design package output in line with client requirements against defined governance and assurance frameworks, processes and procedures
  • Proactively highlight issues at an early stage, allowing Technology Design and Engineering to recommend timely mitigations to facilitate design that are right first time
  • Assisting in the production of intelligent technology design solutions and the production of 2D and 3D outputs
  • Provide continuous design assurance throughout the design life-cycle
  • Provide specialist support for through -life design enhancement such as refit, refurbishment, or increased capability
What are we looking forThis role of Technology Design Engineer is great for you if:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification within a technology engineering discipline e.g., communications, electronic, electrical engineering
  • Extensive industry knowledge, experience and understanding essential; specifically relating to Highways Technology Infrastructure, Highways England, Key Stakeholders and associated contract
  • Experience and a proven track record of successful service delivery, operational design, and delivery of Highways Technology Infrastructure Projects; with knowledge of operational maintenance, construction and site experience being essential
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel/overnight stays when required
