Job Description

Our client are a leading MSP based near Birmingham and due to expansion require a Technical Services Manager to join their team.In order to be considered you need to have the following experience:Essential• Several years’ experience of providing a high level of technical support and management in a tiered support environment for a managed service provider.• Microsoft Server experience• VMWare and Hyper V installation and configuration• Citrix• Experience of the installation and configuration of disk and tape backup and replication technologies (LTO, DFRS, Cloud, DPM)• Core knowledge of common Microsoft Server products (Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Azure/ Virtual platforms) at least one a speciality.• O365 suite of products, specifically Exchange, Office and Teams.• Azure, IaaS and Backend as a Service (BaaS)• Monitoring & Management technologies• Strong skills in security technologies & practices• ITIL/ISO2000 (Incident, Problem Change, Config & Asset Management)• ITIL CertifiedDesirable• Service based skills - Education, Qualification and Training• Industry Qualifications such as MSCA and MCSE (CP&I or Productivity)• Citrix CCA• VMware VCPBackground• At least 10 years within an IT Services environment (worked with customer SLAs and standards such as ISO27001) with a MSP.• Customer centric background.• Background exposure to designing solutions.• Background exposure to presales and demonstrations.Personal• Demonstrates leadership in times of challenge• Proactive problem solver with strong technical and customer facing ability• An effective communicator, one that is confident in their own ability• A keen eye for detail and committed to getting the best results first time• Dedicated and focused• Well-spoken and presented• Strong time management and work output skills• A logical thinker• Organised and methodical in approach• Engaging and able to work as part of a team• Mature and calm in approach• Respectful of other’s opinionsSalary and Benefits:• Salary dependent upon experience / qualifications• Company issue phone (windows phone) and laptop• Training bonus dependent upon which accreditations you achieve• 23 days annual leave increasing to 27• Standby Allowance• Employer based pension (after qualifying period)• Death in Service benefit (after qualifying period)• Car parking• Cycle to work scheme
