Job Description

Job Title: Technical Sales Manger (Field-Based)Location: North UKSalary: £45k - £60k per annum DOE + Discretionary BonusJob Type: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)The Company:CMG Technologies are recruiting for an "on the road" Technical Sales Manager to join our team whos factory is based in Rendlesham, Ipswich, Suffolk.CMG Technologies, part of the IndoMIM group are renowned specialists in Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) and Metal 3D Printing, providing high-quality components to a widely diversified range of customers and industries. This role offers you a unique opportunityto develop and grow our business.The Role:This brand-new position has been created due to acquisition of CMG Technologies Ltd by IndoMIM, India, with a view to growing our business in current and new markets.Reporting directly to the Vice President Sales and functionally to Local Managing Director, you will be responsible for developing existing and new business in current and new industries, pushing opportunities whilst maintaining current relationships. Sellingpredominantly for CMG Technologies in the UK, you will also identify opportunities for the full suite of CMG Technologies and Indo-MIM capabilities across the group.What is required of you:As a Technical Sales Manager, you will need to engage with the local teams and also the wider parent company, embrace our culture and have the ability to build strong relationships with customers and potential customers. The successful candidate will beproven and confident in sales within an Engineering environment and technically competent.Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an understanding of materials, process capability, application and technical specification of Metal and Ceramic Injection moulding along with Metal 3D printing.
  • Generate "Request for Quote" from potential and current customers from a broad range of industries such as - Medical, Defence, Consumer, Industrial and Automotive fields.
  • Transform quotes in to business through negotiation, sales techniques and natural ability.
  • Generate new leads through various marketing activities, e.g. exhibitions; conferences; trade shows and convert them in to potential business opportunities.
  • Use digital marketing platforms efficiently and coordinate brand promotion activities to generate potential leads.
  • Effectively present companys offerings and long-term value to new customers by becoming a process expert. Know the company capabilities and differences to other technologies.
  • Work as a first point of contact for existing and potential customers.
  • Maintain an open mind to opportunities and report on potential threats within the specific business field.
Key Skills:Essential:
  • At least 5 years demonstrable ability within a metal component Sales & Business Development role in an Engineering environment.
  • Strong negotiation & communication experience.
  • Evidence of strong mechanical and technical problem solving skills.
  • Computer and Office literate.
Desirable:
  • Specific industry experience - areas considered transferable:
    • Metal injection Moulding;
    • Powder Metallurgy;
    • Castings;
    • Plastic injection Moulding.
  • Cost modelling.
  • Working within an ISO9001:2015 environment.
