GREENHEART LEARNING PARTNERSHIP TEACHING ROLEJoin us in September 2023 for a full-time position in Birmingham with a salary range of £17,000 - £21,800 per annum. As a Teaching Assistant, youll be a vital part of our school, supporting teaching and creating a positive environment for our young learners.Responsibilities: Collaborate with teachers to plan and prepare engaging lessons and activities for primary students. Support individual students or small groups in their academic and personal development, offering guidance and reinforcement. Assist with classroom management to maintain a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and ensure curriculum access for all. Support students with literacy and numeracy skills through targeted interventions and progress monitoring. Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies for students with special educational needs (SEN). Foster a nurturing and safe environment, promoting students well-being and social-emotional development. Encourage independence and self-confidence, actively engaging students in the learning process. Assist in assessing and tracking student progress, providing feedback and recording observations. Collaborate with teachers and professionals (e.g., speech therapists) to support students with specific needs. Organise and supervise educational outings, field trips, and extracurricular activities. Maintain a clean and organised learning environment, ensuring resources are readily available. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing concerns. Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.Requirements: Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting (desirable but not essential). Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents/guardians. Patient, caring, and empathetic nature to provide emotional support to students. Flexibility and adaptability to work collaboratively and follow instructions. Basic knowledge of primary curriculum subjects and teaching methodologies. Understanding of safeguarding procedures and ensuring student well-being and safety. Willingness to actively contribute to the school community and participate in events/initiatives.
