Job Description

Tax Assistant AccountantLocationSolihullSalary £28-35kOur client is a pioneer in renewable energy and sustainability, they help global businesses advance commercially whilst using clean technologies; helping to build towards a net-zero world they are truly an industry leader. Due to staggering growth (and theconstant need for renewable energy) they are building a new team in the West Midlands.The Role

  • This is a key role reporting into the group financial reporting manager with responsibility across group tax reporting and compliance.
  • The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the group tax reporting and compliance are adequately managed, with the aim of reducing reliance on external consultants on tax matters.
  • Preparation and production of Corporation tax computation schedules.
  • Tax provision calculation and disclosure.
  • Production and filing of VAT returns (UK)
  • Take ownership of tax compliance.
  • Withholding tax production and reporting.
  • Transfer Pricing arrangement with foreign entities.
  • PSA, ERS, FATCA, CRS returns.
The Person
  • AAT qualified or part qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA, must have hands on tax experience of the areas described above.
  • Solid experience of working in a finance team or accountancy practice.
  • Familiar with MS Excel. Experience with MS Teams, Visio, Outlook would bean advantage.
  • A team player with experience of working with an offshore SSC would be an advantage.
  • Proactive, stress resilient, thought provoking, challenging mindset with ability to manage upwards, downwards, and influence across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships and able to influence and interact with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
