The position is based across both Clinical and Laboratory Genetics based at Birmingham Womens Hospital and is part of a wider developer and project lead team. Please note that thisis a development role, not a project management role.This post will support the management and delivery of clinical programmes and will have a key role in future developments including the introduction of whole genome sequencing as part of the National Genomic Medicine Service in England and Electronic PatientRecord SystemsThe RoleThe Genetics directorate uses a wide range of software supporting both the patient-facing clinical service and laboratory investigations. As part of a small team you will be responsible for the analysis, design, development and maintenance of applicationsutilised in Genetics, and the links between them. The organisation are looking for candidates with good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and creatively when resolving problems.Technical skills required for this role include SQL, Microsoft Access and VBA, and experience of integration.
