Nelson Permanent Placements are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain & Logistics Co-ordinator to work with our client who are a leading manufacturer that supply into the construction industry. In recent months our client has significantly grown and are now looking for someone who is experienced in leading an installations within the Glazing & Façade industry.To be considered for the role you must have experience within the construction industry and have a large network of installers nationwide. The Supply Chain & Logistics Co-ordinator will procure and manage various indirect spend requirements for the company in order to ensure value for money, buying efficiencies, supplier compliance to agreed contractual terms, KPIs and SLAs. The Supply Chain & Logistics Co-Ordinator will report directly into the Production Manager.Responsibilities:· Identifying and researching potential new suppliers as well as developing supplier relationships to negotiate the best prices for the company· Ensuring the company is aware of market changes, impacts of legislation or regulation and assisting in the implementation of the overall business strategy in the relevant market areas· Planning inventory purchasing· Liaising with colleagues across the company to understand the inventory needed as well as external suppliers to place orders and to maintain a strong relationship on behalf of the business.· Co-ordinating a successful sourcing strategy· Facilitating the introduction of key suppliers to company level stakeholders· Contributing to supplier risk identification and mitigation to ensure compliance with risk mapping· Ensuring collaborative interactions between Buyers and the Category Management teams· Boosting influence and recognition of the procurement function within the community of Business Stakeholders· Contributing to the yearly ambition plan and implement continuous improvement throughout the procurement cycle· Researching new products and services to meet the companys goals· Assessing the total costs of company purchases· Developing and implementing strategies for procuring, storing and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels· Adhering to the business values (see below)Requirements:· Experience within the manufacturing industry (desired)· Experience in contract implementation and management (essential)· A working knowledge of finance cost management and risk management· Anticipate change and produce solutions· Proficient in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel· Accuracy and attention to detail· A problem solver· Excellent communication skills· Proactive, organised and able to manage own time· Training will be provided where requiredSalary:£24,000 - £30,000 (DOE)How to Apply:Please send your CV to the email address detailed below.
