Job Description

Supplier ManagerPermanent Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm Annual Salary £48,000-£54,000 25 days Annual Leave +BH, Private Medical, Private Dental, 8% Matched Pension & Company Bonus BirminghamSince 1950, our client has been leading the industry in mill and melted products, supplying nearly one-fifth of the worlds titanium. They are looking for a Supplier Manager to join their team who will be responsible for supplier relationships and gainingcontrol of the supply chain for outsourced services. The ideal candidate will have supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment and have good working knowledge or ERP/MRP systems.Supplier ManagerJob Description

  • Introduce a standard internal supplier performance KPI set and governance structure
  • Actively identify and manage future delivery risk and exceptions
  • Identify supply chain development opportunities to enable successful execution of future business requirements
  • Lead targeted supplier improvements across the external supply chain
  • Design and implement supplier performance scorecards and management tools
  • Implement a supplier capability audit process and schedule
  • Keep internal customers and stakeholders appraised of delivery issues and escalations
  • Coordinating interdepartmental activity with quality, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering etc to enable supplier performance
  • Travel to the 2 other sites and conduct supplier visits as necessary
Supplier ManagerEssential Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications
  • Demonstrated professional advancement in a manufacturing environment
  • Qualified to HND level in relevant subject
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software packages-word, excel, power point
  • Competent using ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience in reporting & data analysis
Supplier ManagerDesirable Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications
  • Experience working within the Aerospace industry is advantageous
  • LEAN/Six Sigma/CI experience preferred
  • Use of SAP is advantageous
