Job Description

Closing Date - 15/12/2020 The Strategic Communications Manager for Festival UK* 2022 has a crucial role to play to ensure we keep multiple and diverse stakeholders informed about the festival as it develops and progresses. Working with the marketing team, the role will involve the utilisation of CRM and the development of materials for external and internal stakeholders. Reporting to the Communications Director, this is an exciting role, which is likely to develop alongside the festival.Responsibilities

  • Develop a stakeholder communications strategy, to support the timely dissemination of accurate information about the festival.
  • Devise appropriate materials to engage with different stakeholders, including the DCMS and the devolved nations.
  • Support the Communications Director on public affairs activity.
  • Develop our network of advocates and ambassadors.
  • Utilise CRM to help manage relationships and communications activity.
  • Work with the press and marketing teams to ensure coordination of information going out to external stakeholders and audiences.
  • Work with festival producers and Creative Teams to ensure they receive timely information, and interpret information they provide to create materials for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal communications activity.
  • Skills and Experience RequiredEssential
  • Relevant qualification and/or substantial professional experience and knowledge gained from working in a similar position.
  • Experience of working at a strategic level on stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience of working with multiple partners and stakeholders at different levels.
  • Experience of engaging audiences through different channels and platforms, including, print, broadcast and digital.
  • Experience of writing copy for websites and social media.
  • Desirable
  • Public affairs experience.
  • Experience of internal communication activity.
