Specification Sales Manager - Wetrooms & BathroomsJob Title: Technical Sales Manager - Wetrooms & BathroomsIndustry Sector: Bathroom Systems, Wetrooms, Sanitary Building Boards, Wetrooms, Bathrooms, Bathroom Systems, Sanitaryware, Spa & Wellbeing, Showroom, Partition Walls, Partitions, Drainage, Specification Sales, Specification, Architects, Interior Designers,Main Contractors, Sub Contractors, Housebuilders, National Merchants, Independent Merchants, RetailersArea to be covered: MidlandsRemuneration: £40,000-£42,000 Neg. + 20% of basic salaryBenefits: Hybrid Car & full comprehensive benefits packageThe role of Specification Sales Manager - Sanitary Building Boards will involve:

  • Field sales position selling a high quality range of manufactured specialist building boards and wetroom panelling and bathroom systems for commercial and domestic application
  • 60-70% of your time will be spent generating specifications via architects, interior designers and specialist end users
  • 20-30% of your time will be spent selling directly to and stimulating demand with main contractors, sun contractors and house builders
  • 10% back selling and managing orders through the distribution / retail / national and independent builders merchant channel
  • Inheriting a territory currently running at 80% of budget £700,000 turnover per annum
  • 40% managing existing account, 60% generating new business relationships
  • Projects can range from £2k - £450k depending on size and project type
  • Typical projects would include: restaurants, hotels, spa, leisure centre, football clubs, high rise buildings etc
  • Liaising with the internal technical sales team regarding specification writing
The ideal applicant will be Specification Sales Manager - Sanitary Building Boards with:
  • 12 months+ specification field sales experience
  • Ideally won specifications via architects, interior designers and specialist end users, but also open to housebuilder specification field sales experience
  • May consider a merchant field sales background with strong interior product backgrounds and contacts within housebuilders
  • Experience selling via national merchants, independent merchants, housebuilders, main contractors and sub-contractors may also be of interest
  • Must have sold a technical interior products such as: building boards, wetrooms, tiles, partitions, sanitaryware, bathroom products, bathroom systems, acoustics, drainage systems
  • Comfortable with working in a competitive environment and selling via product quality over price
  • Hungry, driven and enthusiastic about interior building products
