MBA are proud to partner one of the Midlands most innovative technology organisations in their search for an experienced Solutions Architect on a permanent basis. The role is split between office based Birmingham (Solihull) & RemoteThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment to support build, governance and management of the IT estate systems and architecture along with supporting the delivery of complex IT Projects as and when required. You will have a passion forworking with new technology, architectural methods & governance to build a robust and scalable set of solutions. You will be expected to work with multiple stakeholders from different service/development vendors alongside the internal teams.As a Solutions Architect you will be one of the key members within the Architecture team, driving the build and sustainability of the estate. You will have responsibility for integrating in projects from inception, business case and build that may significantlyaffect the organisation and our supply network at all Levels.Solutions Architect - Responsibilities* Demonstrable experience and capability to manage projects autonomously. Thorough understanding of concepts, procedures and application of project management.* Understand the e2e architecture of the Cloud estate (Azure) and the principals for maximizing platforms and availability when keeping cost exposure to a minimum and maximizing project uptime* Managing and supporting wider 365 functions for estate management and security requirements from an architectural perspective.* Evaluates, sometimes complex situations using multiple sources of information. Solution may require some new planning and resource elements but unless exceptional unlikely to be totally bespoke.* Experience of using software tools such as MS Project, Excel,Oracle, Jira and others to manage workloads * Support by consultancy on major projects through initiation, definition and build, testing, cutover and hypercare ensuring delivery to design and architecture.* Create the project plan in partnership with the project delivery team and onsite leadership. Develop and communicate key plan assumptions, define tasks, align them into a manageable work breakdown structure, and gain stakeholder approval and buy-in* Manage and lead project teams and onsite leadership through both direct and matrix structures, and ensure stakeholder buy-in and accountability for delivery and ownership of key tasks* Manage and oversee all critical data migrations and data readiness activities, ensuring data is migrated and available within time and quality metrics.* Working with the stakeholders, define and measure success metrics including benefits realisation post change implementation* Manage, evaluate, and act upon change requests during the project in line with agreed project tolerancesSolutions Architect - Experience* 5 years + experience of successful IT project delivery to time, cost & quality* Familiarity with ERP systems, and experience of successful ERP implementations* Oracle* Azure* Managing cross-functional & matrix delivery teams, including external suppliers* Managing complex and inter-dependent data quality & data migration activities* Advanced communication skills including facilitation, presentation, and negotiating skills, able to articulate complex processes and communicate clearly to different audiences at all levels* Experience and knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
