Job Description

Annual salary: up to £65,000.00 Does the prospect of working on some of the UKs most exciting infrastructure projects excite you Are you looking to build upon your career within an industry leader Do you have a solid understanding of Technical solutions and data managementWe are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect who will play a pivotal role in the delivery to clients in accordance with agreed project plans in a cost effective and timely manner to agreed quality standards. The post holder will act as a technical mentor and advisor for development teams in matters of software design, with an emphasis on .NET related technologies, both internally and at existing customer accounts;You will possess strong analytical and problem solving skills and will be able to liaise with team members, clients and industry professionals.So what does our next Planning Service Manager need to have in order to be successful

  • Strong knowledge of design and integration principles for relational databases
  • Solution Definition, Proposal Creation and Cost Analysis
  • Business Case Production
  • Be open to, and knowledgeable on, the relative merits of a wide range of technologies and solutions to ensure the right fit is always achieved
  • Recent commercial experience in deploying production workloads in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Amazon Web Services Technical Architect – Associate certification or equivalent experience
  • More than three years’ experience in developing software using Java
  • More than three years’ experience in using automated deployment and Continuous Integration tools such as Chef Automate, Terraform and Puppet to work independently with a high degree of integrity and accountability
  • Technical experience in of the following: Agile deployment processes, SaaS/cloud environments, REST Web Services, Java/JavaScript, XML, Data transformation / ETL, Experience within Unix and Windows environments
  • Able to manage changing demands and prioritise workloads in accordance with business need.
  • Able to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills displaying confidence, assertiveness, professionalism and persuasiveness
  • Open minded, flexible and adaptable to deal with a variety of situations as they arrive.
    • AdvantageousThe successful candidate for the post would ideally be able to demonstrate they have good working knowledge of the following;
  • Local and Central Government
  • Transport,
  • Utilities
  • Developers
    • Industry Knowledge
  • One or more of the Markets listed above
  • Land and Property portfolio asset management process
  • Geographic Information Systems
  • DevOps, ITIL, IT Service Management
  • PMP, PRINCE2 or ITIL certification a plus
