Providing industry-leading services spanning across loss adjusting, surveying,subsidence, environmental, cyber risk, legal and more.The Opportunity:This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career as a solicitor and become an integral part of Crawford Legal Services (CLS), supporting a varied caseload of subrogated recoveries and other civil/commercial litigation work.This is also a great opportunity for career advancement and to grow into a supervisory role with scope to deliver training throughout the business to help grow and develop new talent.What You Will Be Doing Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive:You will be handling a varied caseload of fast-track and multi-track claims across a broad range of subrogated recoveries, as well as other Claimant and Defendant civil/commercial litigation work.Naturally, youll be working in strict confidence managing all legal documentation, including investigation of facts, conducting research on relevant laws, regulations and legal articles to ensure the accuracy of advice and procedures are correct, preparingcase plans and strategy notes for the handling of each case and drafting a variety of legal documents.Your work will also involve correspondence with solicitors, courts and clients, client representation in court, meeting interviewing and negotiating with clients, alongside advising clients on law and legalities. Youll also help to mentor more junior teammembers and work with other teams to refer cases where appropriate.About You:

  • Youll have relevant experience of Subrogated recoveries (property damage preferred), and/or General Civil and Commercial Litigation including contract and land disputes
  • A Degree or similar qualification within a relevant subject (i.e. legal practice course) would be ideal
  • 3 A levels and GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English are essential
  • Strong legal knowledge within the given fields of speciality
  • Professional, confidential and discrete at all times
  • Leading by example for more junior team members
  • Exceptional commercial awareness
  • Able to interpret and input information accurately
  • A strong work ethic with good time management and organisational skills
  • Solid MS office skills, including word and excel packages
