Job Description

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Trust in Soda are working with a global consulting firm who are looking to grow their team with an exceptional SDET. Key responsibilities:

  • Implement the appropriate engineering practices and tooling for continuous delivery and testing (TDD & BDD)
  • Coach and train individuals and teams in good DevOps and engineering practices and tools
  • Experienced with technical architecture, with a good understanding of the design and delivery of IT systems for a broad range of clients
  • Experienced with automation test frameworks for API applications specifically Wiremock and Testcafe and integrating with CICD (Azure DevOps)
  • Able to code with JavaScript, C#, .Net languages and passionate about code quality and an advocate for clean code principles, along with excellent analysis and problemsolving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing (testing software is usable for people with disabilities)
    • What we are looking for:
  • Demonstrable programming ability with indepth understanding of underpinning techniques
  • Prove ability of tackling challenging projects and demonstrating a QA mindset with the ability to challenge where appropriate and champion QA practices
  • Experience in a professional SDET role working on both front & backend Test Automation
  • Extensive experience in multiple Test Automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium Webdriver
  • Experience in full software development life cycle from design to deployment using agile methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of Behavioural Driven Development tools such as Cucumber or similar
  • A deep understanding of DevOps & Continuous Delivery tools such as Jenkins, Docker or similar
    • Bonus:
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform or Azure
