Job Description

(39 hours)Bournville Village Trust is part of a tradition, rooted in the principles of its founder, George Cadbury: over a century of progress based on creating and maintaining flourishing communities where people choose to live. Today the Trust owns and manages some 4,000 properties in Birmingham and TelfordBournville Propertycare Services, part of the Trust, is seeking to employ a skilled labourer to help safely deliver empty property maintenance works in and around the beautiful surroundings of Bournville, Birmingham and Telford.Key tasks:

  • Assisting the empty property team with all types of building maintenance internally and externally, all preparatory, ancillary, finishing and complementary tasks associated with the service.
  • Ordering/purchase materials
  • Striping out properties of all debris/materials to a safe place of disposal.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act
  • To consider the Trusts approach to Value for Money
  • To show dignity and respect to customers and tenant’s
  • To carry out all work to a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Candidate profile essential:
  • Qualification in a property or construction related trade discipline
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering skilled labouring works
  • Excellent understanding of best practice in relation to delivering high quality repairs
  • Ability to use a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)
  • A company van will be provided for business use only therefore a full and current driving licence is essential
