Job Description

Shift ManagerWe are recruiting for a Shift Manager in the Birmingham area. Our Client is a well-established company. The role will involve ensuring the efficient and cost effective running of the warehouse operation to agreed SLAs and KPIs.As Shift Manager you will need to have/be:

  • Experience of managing a team
  • Worked within an e-Commerce business
  • Experience of FMCG and 3rd party carriers
  • Experience in inbound and outbound operations
  • Experience of both B2B and B2C operations
  • Proven management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
    • Details:
  • Salary: Up to £38,000.00 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: Rotational shifts Monday to Friday 6.00am-2.00pm/2.00pm-10.00pm with 1 in 4 weekends
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Duration: Permanent
    • Role of a Shift Manager:
  • Overseeing shift operations within the distribution centre
  • Ensuring all trade, express, UK consumer and international orders are dispatched within KPIs
  • Implementing best practice and ensure the continuous improvement of all processes and services
  • Control labour costs to the lowest practicable levels whilst delivering against objectives
  • Work with other Shift Managers to maximize resources and achieve site objectives
  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all employees and contractors
  • Ensure all HR functions are completed
