Job Description

SHEQ AuditorUp to £45,000 + Benefits Birmingham, West Midlands (Remote)A brand-new opportunity has arisen within one of the UKs leading and fastest growing Environmental and Engineering Consultancies, who are globally recognised and employ over 3000 staff across the UK and Europe. This well-established company have seen tremendousyear-on-year growth and due to new continued success, are looking to recruit a highly skilled and detail orientated SHEQ Auditor to join their team.As a SHEQ Auditor, your primary responsibility will be to develop and enhance our clients Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental (SHEQ) management system procedures. In addition to this, you will identify opportunities for improvement, support audit programmesand conduct thorough internal and external audits, in order for the company to main compliance to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.Key Responsibilities of the SHEQ Auditor will include:

  • Developing and improving the organisations SHEQ management system.
  • Planning and executing internal audits to assess compliance with SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Identifying areas for improvement, developing actions plans and driving corrective actions.
  • Conducting supplier audits to evaluate adherence of SHEQ requirements, evaluate performance and offer recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing expert advice and guidance on all SHEQ compliance matters.
  • Compiling comprehensive reports based on audit findings
  • Staying up to date on regulatory requirements and industry trends, proactively recommending necessary changes and adjustments.
To be successful, the SHEQ Auditor will possess the following:
  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in a SHEQ Auditor role
  • ISO Auditor qualification (essential)
  • Proven track record in developing SHEQ management system policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of SHEQ management systems, procedures and standards (ISO 14001, 45001 & 9001)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • In depth understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Full UK driving license with a flexible approach to travel, as UK wide travel and some working away will be required
