Job Description

About the role: To manage the day to day running and operation of the Settlements Team for Platform Securities. To provide guidance, direction and support to the team as well assisting senior management with client servicing. Maintaining and improving operational procedures.Demonstrate a broader leadership outside of the team and direct reports. The incumbent will possess a passion for delivering excellent Client service, through their teams efficient processes and demonstrating a proactive approach which can both influence and continually improve the way service is delivered and success is measured. The role will provide strong leadership, direction and support to team members. Coaching performance and quality to raise standards and output within budget & to SLA. Working with other team leaders to share best practice, supporting each other to ensure allteams get the job done to quality and SLA. What you will be doing:

  • Maintain the first line of compliance defence by ensuring business services adheres to business processes and procedures designed to meet the regulatory standards set out in the relevant FSA rules and guidance.
  • Maintain the first line of defence by operating risk controls assigned to you
  • Use the training and competence scheme to maintain the appropriate knowledge, skills and expertise to carry out the role competently.
  • Treat clients fairly at all times.
  • To manage financial risk, audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all regulatory and Compliance requirements are demonstrated and attained.
  • Ensure that all procedures are documented and regularly reviewed in line with company guidelines.
  • Ensure that roles that you are responsible for are performed by individuals with the appropriate knowledge, skills and expertise and that competence is maintained and assessed.
  • Create and maintain clear lines of responsibility.
  • Contribute to projects as required.
  • Manage the team function to ensure compliant processes, controls and full accountabilities programme
  • Establish, manage and develop the best possible team, leading in line with Platform Securities guiding principles creating a unique and inclusive culture of honesty, transparency, trust and collaboration. Results orientation and client focused.
