Great opportunity to join a global healthcare organisation that is committed to improving patient lives worldwide through education, collaboration and innovation.The Field Service Engineer role involves engineering support in regards to the installation, service and repair of MALDI Mass Spectrometers and Liquid handling Systems, this technology will be used to aid in the diagnosis of blood cancers.Initially prior to product launch, the role will be predominately site-based, however, after this (12 months+), it will involve national and international travel within Europe.Role responsibilities:Initial involvement in setting up protocols, service manuals, training programsInstallation of analysers at customer sites.Perform analyser preventative maintenance services.Field support to customers primarily in UK / Europe but also in USA and in other sites worldwide.Providing technical assistance to customersResponse to global enquiries/reports from the field.Repair and/or replacement of faulty analyser components to restore functionality of the analyser within agreed timescales and in order to offer first time fix solution.Repair returned analysers or component parts and return to reconditioned stock.Maintain stock control of spare parts.Attend external training courses when requiredPerson Specification:Electronics, Mechanical or Engineering qualification.UK Driving licence.Experience of working on Mass Spectrometers is preferable, or experience of working on liquid handling robotic systems or other IVD instruments within a diagnostic environment.Proven service support track recordExcellent communication, customer service, organisational and time management skillsIT Software Literacy: good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Basic Networking skillsExcellent troubleshooting skillsThe flexibility to travel international at short noticeTeam focused, reliable and professional Required skills
