The role is split between scheduled installation & maintenance of equipment at sites across the UK and reactionary service (with often a few days notice with occasional emergency breakdown response).Installation / commissioning projects can be one day to a few weeks. Typically, you will have to stay away from home for 2-3 nights per week (fully expensed) with very occasional weekend work (with overtime pay / holiday in lieu).During periods of training, you will also visit principal sites across Europe.PERSON SPECIFICATION:UK Service Engineer : PPMA - Process and Packaging Machinery - Inkjet - Production EquipmentYoure a multi skilled and experienced Service or Maintenance Engineer with experience of working on production equipment from any sector. Any exposure to packaging, process, inkjet, or automation equipment would be a bonus, but any PLC controlled machinery would be a good match. The wide variety of equipment they work on would benefit from a broad range of experience and a good, general engineering understanding. An understanding of PLCs from an operational level is important - but you are not required to be able to program / debug / fault find etc.THE COMPANY:Well established and respected distributor of machinery across several business areas including converting, print finishing, and process / packaging machinery.
