Job Description

A Senior Supplier Quality Manager role has just become available, within a market leading manufacturer that supply a broad product range to various industries. Located in the Birmingham area, this business is looking for an Engineering professional thatcan work closely with sites across Europe on the development of a new supplier function.If successful, youll gain a starting salary (negotiable) of £60,000+, as well as a great holiday/pension package and annual bonus paying up to 20%.Other benefits for this role include -

Senior Supplier Quality Manager responsibilities include -
  • Implement processes and tools to help drive a stronger Supplier Quality Development function.
  • Liaise with global teams to ensure that the benefit of SQD is realised and the requirement to resolve any issues is clearly understood.
  • Work together on strategic continuous improvement projects within supply chain and action changes accordingly.
  • Evaluate Supplier Quality risk and develop a function that is robust enough to shield any strain.
  • Manage on-site supplier audits, assist with customer audits and provide training where necessary.
  • Monitor supplier quality data, action any improvements and document all changes correctly.
Desirable Skills/Experience/Attributes -
  • Experience leading a team within a manufacturing facility.
  • Conversant with the Quality tool box and able to present examples using tools such as 8D, 5Y, FMEA, Fish Bone Diagram and SPC.
  • Auditing knowledge and experience (ISO 9001 / AS 9100).
  • Confident with problem solving in front of suppliers and customers.
  • "Hands on" approach / fully flexible with travel requirements.
  • An engineering degree or other relevant engineering training.
