Job Description

Job Title: Senior Structural TechnicianLocation: BirminghamAre you an experienced Structural Technician with a wealth of knowledge in the field of structural engineering If you have a strong background in this area and are looking for a new opportunity to grow and make a significant impact, we want to hear fromyou. My client are a multi-sector consultancy, covering healthcare, industrial, retail, education, residential, hotel & leisure, listed buildings, commercial and public sector. We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join their esteemedCivil Engineering Consultancy based in Birmingham.Position Overview:As a Senior Structural Technician, you will play a crucial role in the companys commitment to excellence in structural engineering. This role is ideal for someone with the expertise to drive projects forward and support a dynamic team in achieving theirgoals.Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Structural Engineers and other team members to create detailed drawings and plans for structural engineering projects.
  • Produce accurate and precise technical drawings, including but not limited to reinforced concrete frames, structural steel, industrial buildings, multi-storey structures, and schools.
  • Assist in project management activities, ensuring project goals are met, and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior technicians within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Structural Technician, with a strong background in structural engineering.
  • Proficiency in Revit/ CAD software and other relevant design and drafting tools.
  • Experience in projects related to reinforced concrete frames, structural steel, industrial structures, multi-storey buildings, and schools is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality results and meeting project deadlines.
