Job Description

Senior SQL DBA - HybridMy client are a market leading IT consultancy specialising in retail IT services and solutions. They work with a range of high street retailers.You will be working as part of an innovative, fast paced technology driven culture who are always looking at ways to enhance how technology is used within their industry.They would describe their company culture as friendly, approachable and supportive. You will be joining a very close knit team with a great working culture. Working as part of a team of 8, whilst line managing 3 other DBAs.You will be working closely with one of their largest, well-known clients as they undergo a huge transformation project. This is a fantastic opportunity to further progress your career and gain further experience in a lead role with the potential to workwith cloud technologies in the future.This is a hybrid role with travel to Birmingham 2 days per month.Main Skill-Set We are looking for a good mix of the below skills, (not necessarily all of the below):

  • High availability & Always on groups
  • Backups, recovery, performance tuning
  • SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
  • Windows Server
  • Network experience
  • ITIL
  • Experience in client facing roles
  • Out of the box thinking
Must HavesTo be successful, it is essential you have the following:
  • SQL Server 2000 - 2019 experience
  • 3+ Years as a SQL Database Administrator
  • Experience leading on projects, mentoring juniors or managing a team
  • Experience on SQL Server migration projects
  • Excellent communication: Clear, concise,
  • Strong Stakeholder/Client Management skills (dealing with Senior Managers & Directors)
