Job Description

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Coleshill, BirminghamThe Client:This Senior Quantity Surveyors role is with one of the UKs leading Main Contractors. They operate across all sectors of the build environment, this opportunity is primarily within their Rail and Highways sector.The Role: We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with some experience within Civil Engineering. The requirements of the role include:

  • Have management of circa £30-40m/annum of Plain Line and Drainage Renewals covering over 80 different work sites a year
  • Measure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures.
  • Measure & interpret specifications & drawings;
  • Build up estimates from first principle including net and gross estimates;
  • Translate measurement from drawings and Specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of rates if required.
  • Collation of Cost and Value Information;
  • Preparation of Cost reconciliation statements;
  • Collect information required to specify procurement requirements
  • Collation of cost and value information;
  • Management of Sub Contractors Accounts.
