Job Description

ShopWired is the UK’s leading ecommerce provider, allowing users to setup and manage their own ecommerce websites.Due to our continued expansion, we are looking for a Senior PHP Developer, initially on a contract basis, to join our development team and build new features for the ShopWired platform.Essential knowledge:

  • PHP 7
  • MySQL
  • Javascript
  • Git
  • HTML, CSS (SASS)
    • Knowledge of a templating language like Twig or Liquid is advantageous but not essential. Previous experience using either a SaaS ecommerce platform like Shopify, BigCommerce or Magento or WooCommerce is preferred.Essential skills & experience:
  • Previous experience in a Senior PHP developer or PHP web developer role
  • Experience developing large scale applications
  • Experience designing, developing and implementing systems
  • Ability to work on projects independently demonstrating regular process
  • High attention to detail
  • A passion for best design and coding practices
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, tools and PHP skills
    • Knowledge of application security is desirable. Candidates with experience of OAuth2 and consuming REST APIs are preferred.Salary & benefits:
  • Flexible working hours
  • Remote working if desired
  • Daily rate between £160 - £200 depending on experience
  • Contract will be initially for 3 months, to be extended (or converted to a permanent position)
