Job Description

Senior Payroll AdministratorSouth Birmingham PermanentWe are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator who is used to working in a faced paced environment, with experience in all aspects of payroll.Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working as part of a large payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring all payroll deadlines and compliance are met.This is a full time, office based, permanent vacancy paying up to £26,000 per year, based on experience.The main duties and responsibilities are:

  • Ensuring that all statutory deductions are processed in line with deadlines.
  • Creating auto enrolment packs for new starters.
  • Monitoring levels of payroll queries and reporting progress to management.
  • Dealing with court order deductions, including responding to correspondents.
  • Account reconciliation to ensure everything adds up correctly.
  • Managing a small team of 3 Administrators.
Person Specification:
  • At least 2 years experience working within payroll.
  • Experience working with payroll legislation and deadlines.
  • Good understanding of statutory deductions.
  • Competent using MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
