Job Description

Senior Paraplanner - Birmingham - Flexible working - Salary negotiable up to £48,000 plus excellent benefits packageMB Fitzgerald are currently working with a National Financial Services Group who are looking to hire an experienced Paraplanner for their team in Birmingham.The company, who have offices across the UK, provide a range of Financial Services from Wealth Management & Financial Planning to Employee Benefits and Pension scheme management. They are continuing to grow their Financial Planning team and as such havea requirement for a qualified and experienced Senior Paraplanner to work alongside some of their top performing Financial Planners in Birmingham.The role:

  • This role is responsible for the provision of technical support to enable Planners to deliver their role in a technically competent, compliant and efficient way to provide the best possible outcome for the client and to protect the interests of the business
  • Assist the Planner with research and creation of client suitability reports in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. Ensuring all documentation explains to clients as clearly as possible pros and cons of advice given, and ensuring that all regulatoryobligations have been adhered to
  • Obtain illustrations, related documentation and forms to support suitability reports
  • Preparation of draft annual review letters including re-balancing of portfolios, drawdown reviews, investments, pension transfers, estate planning (IHT), VCTs and EIS etc.
Requirements
  • Candidates MUST have a minimum of 2 years previous experience in a Paraplanner role
  • You must be a competent report writer, with a strong technical knowledge of all financial services products
  • Candidates MUST be Diploma Level 4 qualified as a minimum, ideally Chartered or studying towards this
  • Previous experience of XPLAN would be an advantage but not essential
