Job Description

We specialise in delivering employment, health, justice and youth services, creating new and improved ways to support everyone daily and drive social change.As a Senior Network Engineer you will ensure the availability, integrity and performance of services and will work with key IT partners and suppliers to develop, test and implement new solutions, ensuring that the most effective technology is used to meetbusiness requirementsSome of your key duties will involve Planning, designing and deploying Network Solutions, Create low-level designs and implement solutions and Create high-quality technical documentation

  • Support our remote offices network requirements across the UK
  • Occasional travel to offices to support in BAU and project requirements
  • Create low-level designs and implement solutions
  • Collaborate with other departments throughout the organisation
  • Support Field Engineers in a tier 3 capacity
  • Support the Service Desk when required
  • Take part in regular training and keep qualifications up to date
  • To build a clear picture of our network setups across the country and internationally
  • To identify areas for improvement
  • To build and maintain a list of all networks across the company, recording DNS, WAN, IP, contract type and length, line type, location, office type (managed site, owned)
  • To be involved in the design of new network solutions for emerging technologies used through the company, taking into consideration, security, logging, Traffic Filtering QOS, traffic shaping
We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge and skills in:
  • Knowledge or experience of Cisco Meraki switches, WAPs
  • Ability to transform high-level requirements into detailed network design documents
  • Experience in identifying and delivering continuous improvements
  • Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills
  • Experience in contributing to projects and recommending technical solutions
Experience of the following:
  • VeloCloud
  • CCNP or Recognised networking certification
  • Cisco Meraki advanced configuration
  • SD WAN
  • Azure Virtual Networks
  • Azure Firewall
  • 0 Trust Networks
  • VLAN configuration Segregation
  • Traffic Shaping
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with third party service providers and vendors
