Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to work across our clients Birmingham campuses, focussing on enhancing internal and external awareness of the campuses, thereby increasing student recruitment, retention and progression targets, as well as fostering localcommunity relations. In addition, you will promote the Birmingham Campus and the universitys brand, opportunities and services to prospective applicants, stakeholders and influencers.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Help develop and deliver the campuses marketing and communications strategies and corresponding promotions and initiatives and support potential expansion to other cities/locations;
  • Shape and develop written, visual and social media content, working closely with other interested internal and external potential parties to strengthen and add value to the offering and helping to achieve the Birmingham campus recruitment and retentiontargets
  • Develop location-based messaging campaigns, including social media
  • Monitor the Birmingham Campus social media content, working closely with the central web and social media team to ensure they meet market needs, aspirations and are accurate and popular
  • Prepare, proofread and monitor published information, including social media content relating to the Birmingham Campus, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail throughout
  • Contribute to specific Birmingham Campus - based projects, working with cross-functional staff to ensure an effective and timely delivery
  • Demonstrate effective and appropriate administrative, organisational and decision-making skills;
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised, as well as being an effective member of a team
  • Assess, review and provide feedback on specific location-based campaigns
  • You will work closely with the equivalent postholder in the London Campus in order to ensure a consistent approach to communications across the Institute
PERSON SPECIFICATION
  • A marketing and/or communication (or related) qualification OR equivalent work experience
  • Relevant previous experience of working in a marketing environment
  • Demonstrable creative thinking and effective writing skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to apply attention to detail and to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines
  • Relevant and appropriate IT skills
  • Networking, negotiating and influencing skills with other stakeholders
  • Experience of working within a target-driven environment
SALARY AND WORKING HOURS
  • Salary: £27,929 to £31,411 per annum
  • Hours: Full Time (37 hours)
  • Permanent
  • Location: 2 campuses in Birmingham
