Do you have experience in the Construction Education Sector Do you want to be part of the team developing a multimillion-pound centre for Sustainable ConstructionUniversity College Birminghams School of Engineering, Digital and Sustainable Construction in partnership with The University of Warwick, has ambitious plans to develop a cutting-edge, carbon-neutral site right in the heart of Birmingham.From September 2023 we will be training the construction workforce of the future in areas where skills demand outstrips supply, where we will be teaching both traditional construction and building services skills alongside evolving skills such as modularbuilding, modern methods of construction, green technologies, retrofit etc. Using only the best resources and high-tech kit in the sector, you will have one of the most inspiring environments to work in alongside outstanding academic support from across thesector.The Opportunity:We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join us at the outset. You will need to be at the top of your game with experience in both industry and in education at a variety of levels and have the experience to lead and develop a team.You will have direct input into co-creating an exciting curriculum with industry partners and be the face of UCB Construction as well as leading on student recruitment and outreach work. Over time, you will lead the development of higher-level programmesthat will afford our students the greatest life chances and offer a clear line of sight to degree level outcomes.You will work with other Senior Lecturers and our Executive Dean to ensure our facilities can only be described as world class and produce work-ready students that can springboard into high value careers.We expect that the ideal candidate for this role has a comprehensive CPD record and furthermore they will be expected to spend time back in industry to ensure currency and innovation is ongoing.Benefits:
