About Us:We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to play a vital role is supporting our Risk business. As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be a key player in our £500 million Risk business, which employs approximately 2,000 Partners and staff. Risk at PwC provides a comprehensive range of services designed to help organizations navigate risks in increasinglycomplex operating environments. About the Role:As the Senior Finance Business Partner for the Risk business, you will be the go-to person for our Business Partnering teams. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this collaborative role involves working closely with business unit leadership and engagementleaders. You will provide commercially focused insight and analysis to drive the firms financial strategy, actively participating in leadership meetings, supporting, and, when needed, challenging the business from a financial perspective. In this role, you will work closely with the Business Partnering Lead specialists for complex issues concerning commercial, strategy, reporting, or financial control matters. Additionally, you will communicate regularly with the firms Centres of Excellencefor escalated matters. As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will draw upon technical knowledge and experience, commercial insights, and interpersonal skills to drive, influence, and challenge the business to achieve short and long-term financial objectives. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the management, motivation, and development of a small team of finance professionals, working together to support the business on the financial agenda. • Drive and challenge business performance through analysis, presentation, and commentary of financial information to senior decision-makers
• Play a vital role in steering groups, supporting business delivery, and ensuring strategic alignment
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities to financial performance, developing actions to mitigate, correct, or exploit with senior decision-makers
• Provide forward-looking and actionable financial insights, sustaining market share, supporting growth, and maximizing profitability
• Support the business area in robust short/medium-term forecasting and ensure business engagement in the annual planning cycle
• Identify opportunities for improved performance, develop potential solutions, and drive financial performance
• Challenge the strategic plan for the business area, modeling planning scenarios to support appropriate targets and action plans
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand the commercial impact of planned investments and ensure benefits are delivered and maximized
• Work closely with the Financial Control Lead specialist to monitor and challenge the business on control effectiveness
• Support the Finance Director in defining overall team direction and strategy for the Finance function

Essential skills & experience:

• Commercially minded individual with a deep business understanding of professional services and / or financial services
• Strong analytical skills
• Professionally qualified (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• A Strong relationship builder who builds trust in their stakeholders
• Ability to communicate with impact and empathy - both written and verbal
• Focused on continuous improvement and has a technology enabled mindset working collaboratively with our Planning & Reporting CoE to provide innovation relevant to the business
