Job Description

Here at Interlink we have an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest firms in Birmingham. Ideally we are seeking a Senior Employment Associate looking for a new challenge, joining a highly ranked as a Tier 2 practice for the Midlands in both Legal500 and Chambers & Partners.The firm

  • Over 25 lawyers in their national employment team, based in offices in Birmingham, Leeds, London, Manchester and Nottingham.
  • They have a wealth of experience advising on the full spectrum of HR issues and who are specialists in organisational change and leadership assessment and development.
  • The firm help clients with every aspect of the management of their workforce, adding value to their HR function and helping them achieve consistently better outcomes.
  • Our client provides pragmatic solutions, not just legal opinions, and can work as part of an HR department, act as an HR consultant or advise senior management directly.
The Role
  • Providing day to day support to HR teams
  • Project work on restructurings, redundancies and TUPE
  • Employment tribunal litigation
  • Acting on executive severances/settlement agreements
  • Corporate transactional support
  • Drafting and advising on policies and procedures
  • Supervising junior members of the team
  • Opportunity to work with other team members as part of our national employment team
  • This role would ideally suit an existing Associate / Senior Associate with between 4 and 10 years post qualification experience gained at a leading national or regional firm.
The successful candidate
  • A qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
  • Will be capable of working without intensive supervision, whilst having the ability to provide support and supervision for more junior members of the team.
  • Displays sound technical knowledge and a flair for business development and client development. Financial literacy is important as well, and an understanding and appreciation of the need to cost work effectively and to produce profitable work.
