Job Description

SENIOR DATA ENGINEER REMOTE (MUST be UK based)Up to £80,000THE COMPANY My client sits within the software/entertainment industry who are constantly working to understand customer behaviour to improve customer experience. They have received large investments to accelerate business growth, and their revenue is predicted to growtenfold in the next four years!Theyre now hiring for a Senior Data Engineer to join the business, and work alongside a team of Data Scientists and Full-Stack Engineers. This is a stand-alone role, however, due to exceptional business growth, the successful candidate will have the opportunityto grow out a team of Data Engineers in the next 12 months!THE ROLEThe successful candidate can expect to be involved in...

  • Creating solutions to provide data in various forms to the wider platform, whether via databases, APIs, or streaming
  • Designing and working on the architecture of data solutions, ensuring the business uses the best approach to benefit from the data they hold
  • Supporting and facilitating data modelling and exploration
  • Collaborating with data scientists and software developers to ensure seamless integration of ML processes
  • Ensure data quality, security, and privacy are preserved in all data processing and storage processes
  • Be proactive in identifying and solving data processing issues
  • Continuously optimizing systems to enhance data processing and storage speed and accuracy
  • Optimization and reformation of the legacy data structures
  • Using Kafka for real-time data streaming
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE The successful candidate will have...
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • At least 5yrs Data Engineering experience
  • Excellent skills in SQL and Python
  • Exposure to a Cloud environment (AWS preferred)
  • Experience working with Kafka/Spark (desired)
  • Experience working with event-driven architecture
  • Excellent communication skills
