SENIOR DATA ENGINEER BIRMINGHAM/MANCHESTER OFFICE WITH TRAVEL TO LONDON 1x MONTHUP TO £95,000THE COMPANY Im working with one of the UKs largest telecommunication companies to hire a new Senior Data Engineer! This position sits within their Digital Team with a whole focus on digital transformation.THE ROLEThe successful candidate can expect to be involved in...

  • Using cutting-edge technology on GCP to build world-class data pipelines (both batch & real-time) and data services
  • Building and maintaining a self-service platform to help data modelling teams to be as self-sufficient as possible without needing to worry about infrastructure and deployment
  • Working with highly skilled DevOps Engineers, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers side by side to build powerful data products and services (including MLOps) that would really improve customer experience
  • Mentoring (not direct line management) of more Junior Data Engineers within the team
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE The successful candidate will have...
  • At least 5yrs commercial Data Engineering experience
  • Exceptional GCP skills
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience using Big Data tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, DBT, and Airflow
  • Platforming experience
